How to Lock OTC Labs Tokens and Keep the Rewards (2026)

OTC launches pay holders automatically on-chain, so a StakePoint lock keeps earning. Use the reward locker rather than the standard one, because reflections cannot be enabled after a lock is created.

How to Lock OTC Labs Tokens and Keep the Rewards

StakePoint is the only Solana locker where a locked OTC Labs position keeps receiving reward distributions. Locked tokens sit in a Program Derived Address, the OTC payout wallet pays that address the same as any other holder, and the rewards are claimable from the lock page without touching the locked principal.

One thing decides whether it works: you have to use the reward locker rather than the standard one, and it cannot be changed afterwards.

Key Takeaways

  • OTC launches distribute rewards directly on-chain to holder accounts, so a lock PDA receives them like any wallet.
  • Use stakepoint.app/lock-revshare-tokens, not the standard lock page.
  • The reward token is set at lock creation and cannot be added later. A standard lock will still receive distributions, but there is no way to claim them.
  • Claim rewards at any time. The locked principal is untouched and the unlock date does not move.
  • Not every rewards launchpad works this way. Some distribute from an off-chain list that excludes program accounts entirely.

Lock and Keep Earning

Why Locking Usually Costs You the Rewards

On most lockers, locking a reward-paying token means giving up the reward stream on it for the duration of the lock.

Sometimes that is the locker's fault: the tokens go into a vault the platform never checks for anything other than the locked mint, so anything else that arrives is stranded.

Sometimes it is the launchpad's. Several rewards platforms run distribution off-chain, sweeping fees into a wallet and paying out to a list they select. Those lists usually cover ordinary wallets only, so anything held in a program account is skipped. When that is the case, no locker on Solana can help, because nothing is ever sent.

This is worth checking before you lock rather than after. The two failure modes look identical from the outside and only one of them is fixable.

Why OTC Labs Works

OTC Labs launches route a share of trading fees back to holders, and the reward is bought and distributed as those fees accumulate.

The important part for locking: those rewards are sent on-chain, directly to holder token accounts. There is no allow list to be left off and no check on what kind of account is holding.

A StakePoint lock holds the token, so it sits in the holder set and receives its share like any wallet. That is observable on-chain rather than something you have to take on trust: the distributions arrive as ordinary token transfers and anyone can verify them against the lock address on Solscan.

Use the Reward Locker, Not the Standard One

This is the step that decides whether the rewards are usable.

When you create a lock through the reward locker, StakePoint enables reflections on the lock and configures a vault for the reward token you select. That vault is what the claim function reads from.

Create the same lock through the standard lock page and reflections stay off. The distributions still arrive at the PDA, because OTC pays holders regardless, but there is no configured reward token and therefore no claim path. The tokens accumulate in an address nobody can withdraw from.

It cannot be corrected afterwards. Reflection settings are written once, when the lock is created, and there is no instruction to change them later. That is deliberate, because a lock whose parameters can be edited is a weaker guarantee, but it does mean this choice is permanent.

How to Lock

1

Go to stakepoint.app/lock-revshare-tokens and connect the wallet holding your tokens

2

Select the token you want to lock

3

Select the reward token it pays out in

4

Set the amount and the unlock date

5

Confirm and sign

The lock is live immediately with a public page. Share that link rather than a screenshot.

Claiming While Locked

The claim button appears on your lock page and is visible only to the wallet that created the lock. Everyone else sees the public view: the amount locked, the unlock date and the on-chain proof.

Claiming moves the accumulated rewards to your wallet. It does not touch the locked principal, does not change the unlock date, and can be done as often as you like.

So the lock does what a lock is meant to do, and the rewards do what rewards are meant to do. You are not choosing between them.

What to Lock

Dev and team wallet supply. This is the allocation holders actually ask about, because it is the part that can be sold tomorrow with nothing technically going wrong.

Treasury reserves. If the project holds a reserve, locking it on a published date tells holders when it becomes available rather than leaving them guessing.

For a reward-paying token there is a second argument. Locked supply keeps earning, so the cost of locking is a date rather than an income stream. That makes a longer lock easier to justify internally than it would be on a token that pays nothing.

How Long

Long enough that you will defend the date publicly.

Six months is the floor for a dev allocation, twelve is the common choice, and anything under three months reads as a formality. Staggered tranches beat a single cliff, because a first unlock that passes without incident is worth more than any promise made at launch.

OTC Labs Token Locking FAQ

Can you lock OTC Labs tokens and still receive rewards?

Yes, on StakePoint. OTC launches distribute rewards on-chain to holder token accounts, and a lock PDA is a holder, so distributions arrive there. Use the reward locker at stakepoint.app/lock-revshare-tokens so the reward token is configured and the rewards are claimable.

What happens if you use the standard lock instead?

The distributions still arrive at the lock address, but no reward token is configured, so there is no claim path. The tokens accumulate in an account that cannot be withdrawn from, and it cannot be fixed after the lock is created.

Does claiming rewards unlock the principal?

No. Claiming moves only the accumulated rewards. The locked amount and the unlock date are unaffected, and you can claim as often as you like.

Can anyone else see or claim the rewards?

The claim function is restricted to the wallet that created the lock. Anyone visiting the lock page sees the public view: token, amount, unlock date and on-chain proof.

Does this work with every rewards launchpad?

No. It works when the launchpad distributes on-chain to holder accounts. Platforms that run distribution off-chain from a selected wallet list generally exclude program accounts, and in that case no locker on Solana receives anything. Check before you lock.

Can rewards be added to a lock after it is created?

No. The reward token is set at creation and cannot be added or changed later.
